"I teach 5th grade at Planz Elementary School. This is my fifth year teaching, I've taught 2nd grade for 3 years, 7th & 8th for one year and this is my first year in 5th grade.

My favorite subject to teach is math. Math is important for 5th graders because they have to analyze the numbers and be able to work with them in the proper way.

One thing that I would love for parents to remember is that it is very important for their students to read. 

As a teacher I found that it is very important to get to know your  students and to appreciate your students as individuals. That's the only way they're going to respect what you have to pass on to them, that they know you have a genuine interest in them."
