"Hi, my name is Laurie Bowden, I teach 7th grade Language Arts at Haven Drive Middle School in Arvin. This is my 12th year teaching here at Haven Drive.
I love making learning fun for them. I enjoy including raps and cheers within my lessons and I enjoy making them laugh throughout the day. I love working with the kids here, they're very enthusiastic and they're always ready to learn. I always remind my kids that life is full of choices, when they make good choices there are always good consequences and when there are bad choices there are bad consequences.
I believe having a relationship with the students and class room instruction go hand in hand, and if class room rules are set then learning naturally increases."
