"My name is Dustin Adams, I teach Biblical Literature and coach Forensics at Bakersfield Christian High School.
This is my first year teaching at Bakersfield Christian High School; I’ve always wanted to be a teacher, my teachers were a big influence on me. I originally wanted to be a lawyer and go into politics... but through my debate coach I got really interested in wanting to be a teacher and a forensics coach.
Being here, particularly at this school, has just been an absolute blessing for me.
I like teaching the content, but I like interacting with the kids knowing that I’m a positive impact on their lives... that they will remember whatever they remember from my class but they’re not going to forget me, how I treated them.
To the parents of the students that I have: I want them to know that their kids are loved and they’re safe, not only in my classroom but at Bakersfield Christian High School.
For my students there is one thing that I want for them: to always put God first no matter what."
