I look forward to school everyday. It’s a new challenge everyday, and I keep trying to add new and exciting things for the band kids to do and the drum line students to do. And everyday it’s something different.
The students I have in band, their parents are always involved in the activities that the kids are involved in, and as long as you know what your kids are doing and you’re involved in it, they’re excited about it and they’re going to do better in school.
One good thing about Lakeside is I have an extremely supportive administration and parents, and the students are coming from a great community where Silver Creek is located, where all the parents in that area kind of group together and support the program.”
