“My name is Bernardo Salcido and I teach 8th grade Physical Science at Chipman Junior High School. This is my second year.
We work with acids and bases and the kids are testing the material with litmus paper and seeing color changes.
Just to see the kids at that moment, whenever they really understand something and then you can take it and run with it.
Just getting the students started up to that point and also just getting to interact with the students on a daily basis.
I think the kids are at the perfect moldable age, to where they still respect the teacher, yet their brains aren’t set in their ways yet, so you can still have an impact, I think, to the greatest extent.”
