December 2005: Margo Ogden

“My name is Mrs. Ogden and I teach third grade at Suburu Elementary School.  I’ve been teaching elementary school since 1985.

I became a teacher because I enjoy teaching children.  Teaching third graders is wonderful because the third graders come to school willing to learn, wanting to learn.
I enjoy teaching math to the students because they are anxious to learn how to multiply.  I try to instill in third graders that reading is important.  Reading is food for the soul.  The key to success at school is modeling reading at home.

I come to work everyday because I love my job.  There is not one day that I don’t want to come to work.  The students make it all worth while.

I’m the mother of five children and what better job to have than teaching children.”
