January 2006: Carolina Obenshain

“My name is Mrs. Obenshain and I teach 1st grade at Suburu Elementary School.

I became a teacher for many reasons but mostly because i care about what happens in our community and I really do find a lot of rewards in teaching.

This is my fifth year teaching and I’ve enjoyed every single year.  Every morning I am motivated to come see the kids.  At the end of the school year I definitely want the students in my class to feel like they’ve achieved everything they can.

I hope that the parents in my class really can appreciate their children’s hard work and I definitely hope that they understand that their hard work can pay off at the end.

I would like all of the kids in my class to know that they can achieve everything that they put their mind to.”
