December 2006: Alice Gonzalez

“My name is Alice Gonzalez, I teach pre-kindergarten at Freemont School.

I became a teacher to try and make a difference in children’s lives and give them an early start before they get into kindergarten.

The best thing I like about teaching the pre-kindergarten students is daily they come in and I see the eagerness on their face ready to learn; and at the end of the year I see an amazing world in each child, and that is very rewarding.

The thing that motivates me to come to work every morning is knowing that I’ll see these children daily.

By the end of the school year hopefully my children have achieved a great self esteem, where they know that they can do anything they want to.

To all the parents: I encourage you to read to your children daily.”
