“My name is Karen Sweaney and I teach 4th grade at Laurel Glen Elementary School.
My favorite thing about teaching is when kids get it, and I see the light bulb go on.
We have daily activities during the week, on Monday we have the Mustang Market, where we shop. On Tuesday, for my students who have perfect conduct and perfect attendance, we have Tuesday Treat. For Wednesday at lunch time we have Wednesday Workers, kids come in at lunch time, kids come in for help. Thursday we have Thumbs up Thursday, which is good grade report and on Fridays we have Fast Food Friday and a Movie where the kids come in at lunch time and have lunch and watch a movie.
Students need to turn their work in, check your assignment book and turn it in.
I would say the word that I use the most often is responsibility, 4th graders are responsible.”
