December 2009: Erin Vradenburg

“My parents are both retired teachers and they were wonderful. I was very blessed to have talented and dedicated teachers throughout my academic career.

I make learning fun for my students by having fun myself. Students pick up on my energy and my excitement and I think that makes it fun for them.

My students know that I love them, they know I like to joke, and laugh.

The advice I would give young parents is to work with your child at home. You’re your child’s first teacher.  You have a lot of sway on their education.

My name is Erin Vradenburg and I teach kindergarten at Beardsley Elementary and I am the teacher of the month.”
