“When I was going to school I had some really excellent teachers who motivated me, inspired me, took notice of me, and that really gave me a lot of confidence.
Music is very important in our schools for several reasons. First and foremost, I think it’s important that students get out there and perform. It helps them get confidence, and poise. Also, the things that they learn seem to apply to other areas.
What keeps me going each day as a teacher is seeing students improve. Seeing them achieve. Also, just the relationships with them.
It be really tough to be a teacher if I didn’t enjoy my students. I do enjoy my students, we have a good time together.
