November 2010: Kelly Lawler

Overall, I’ve been teaching for 16 yrs, six years in college and this is my tenth year teaching high school.
I became a teacher because I knew the impact that the great philosophers had in my life. Because of their greatness you can’t help but want to share those ideas with other people and hopefully generate the excitement in them that you in deed have, as well.
I love my job, I love my students and I love to see them flourish.  I can’t imagine working with any other age group. The interaction is good.
My ability to relate to them is always engaging and exciting.  I just can’t imagine teaching any other age group.
My name is Kelly Lawler, I teach at Robert F. Kennedy High school in Delano and I am Teacher of The Month.
