“I became a teacher, because being able to see children grow in their learning and as individuals is the most rewarding feeling. The moment I love the most is when my students finally understand a concept. That aha! moment and the look on their faces when they understand a concept is priceless.

I motivate them to learn, because learning is going to prepare them for their future. I make the lessons fun by trying to make them as engaging and interesting as possible.

What motivates me to teach is my students, their enthusiasm for learning is what motivates me.

One piece of advice I have for parents is to stay involved in your child’s education. Continue to support them every step of the way here at Wayside and in the future.

I teach fifth grade at Wayside Elementary, and I am teacher of the month.”
